The faucet in the above video is a Delta Touch Essa Touch2O kitchen faucet. These faucets have a complexity beyond your typical faucet Here are detailed troubleshooting steps for a Delta touch faucet that is not turning on:

Check the batteries:

  • First, locate the battery compartment on the faucet. This is usually located under the sink or in the base of the faucet.
  • Open the battery compartment and inspect the batteries. Make sure that the batteries are not dead and that they are installed correctly according to the +/- markings.
  • If the batteries are dead or installed incorrectly, replace them with new batteries and make sure they are installed correctly.

Check the power supply:

  • The Delta touch faucet can require a power supply to function. Make sure that the faucet is properly plugged in to a power outlet.
  • If the faucet is hardwired, make sure that the wiring is securely connected and that there are no loose wires or damaged wire connections.

Clean the sensor:

  • The sensor is the part of the faucet that activates the flow of water when it is touched. It may become dirty or obstructed over time, which can prevent it from functioning properly.
  • To clean the sensor, first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Then, locate the sensor on the faucet. It is usually located on the front or side of the spout.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away any dirt or debris from the sensor. Be careful not to scratch or damage the sensor.

Reset the faucet:

  • Some Delta touch faucets have a reset button that can be used to reset the faucet if it is not working properly.
  • To reset the faucet, locate the reset button. It is usually located on the underside of the faucet or in the battery compartment.
  • Press and hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds, then release it. This should reset the faucet and restore it to its default settings.

Check the solenoid:

  • The solenoid is a small valve that controls the flow of water through the faucet. If the solenoid is not functioning properly, it can prevent the faucet from turning on.
  • To check the solenoid, turn off the water supply to the faucet and locate the solenoid. It is usually located near the base of the faucet or under the sink.
  • Inspect the solenoid for any signs of damage or obstruction. If it appears to be damaged or obstructed, it may need to be replaced.
