  1. Start by unpacking all of the equipment that came with your SimpliSafe system. This should include the base station, keypad, entry sensors, motion sensors, and any other additional components such as cameras and window/door alarms.
  2. Place the base station in a central location in your home. It should be plugged into a power outlet and connected to your home’s Wi-Fi network. The base station is what connects all of the other components of the system and allows you to control them using the SimpliSafe app or keypad.
  3. Next, install the entry sensors on all of the doors and windows that you want to be monitored. These sensors are small and discreet and can be attached to the door or window frame using the included adhesive tape. Make sure the sensor is aligned with the magnet on the door or window so that it triggers when the door or window is opened.
  4. Install the motion sensors in any areas of your home that you want to be monitored for movement. These sensors can be placed on a shelf or mounted on the wall using the included mounting hardware. Make sure the sensor has a clear view of the area you want to monitor.
  5. If you have any SimpliSafe cameras, follow the instructions included with the cameras to install them. These cameras can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall or ceiling using the included mounting hardware.
  6. Once all of the components are installed, power on the base station and follow the prompts on the keypad or SimpliSafe app to set up your account and connect all of the sensors and cameras to the system.
  7. Test the system to make sure everything is working properly. Open and close doors and windows to make sure the entry sensors are triggering, and walk around your home to make sure the motion sensors are detecting movement. You can also use the SimpliSafe app or keypad to control the system and view any footage from the cameras.
  8. Once you’re satisfied that everything is working properly, you can activate the system by setting it to “armed” mode. This will cause the system to trigger an alarm if any of the sensors are activated while the system is armed.

That’s it! With a little bit of setup, you now have a fully functional SimpliSafe security system that can help protect your home and keep you safe.

Certainly! Here is more detailed information on each step of the process:

It is important to choose a central location for the base station so that it has a strong signal throughout your home.
  3. Next, install the entry sensors on all of the doors and windows that you want to be monitored. These sensors are small and discreet and can be attached to the door or window frame using the included adhesive tape. Make sure the sensor is aligned with the magnet on the door or window so that it triggers when the door or window is opened. It is important to install these sensors on all potential entry points to your home to ensure maximum protection.
  4. Install the motion sensors in any areas of your home that you want to be monitored for movement. These sensors can be placed on a shelf or mounted on the wall using the included mounting hardware. Make sure the sensor has a clear view of the area you want to monitor. It is a good idea to place motion sensors in high-traffic areas such as hallways, living rooms, and bedrooms to ensure that any movement is detected.
  5. If you have any SimpliSafe cameras, follow the instructions included with the cameras to install them. These cameras can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall or ceiling using the included mounting hardware. It is important to position the cameras in a way that allows them to capture a clear view of the area you want to monitor.
  6. Once all of the components are installed, power on the base station and follow the prompts on the keypad or SimpliSafe app to set up your account and connect all of the sensors and cameras to the system. This process will involve entering your personal information, creating a login and password, and connecting the system to your Wi-Fi network.
You can arm and disarm the system using the SimpliSafe app or keypad, or you can use the included key fob for added convenience.
